We saw this mama bear and her cub just before we entered the Roaring Fork Motor Trail. Many cars had stopped to watch them and the Park Ranger was there to protect both the visitors and the bears. When mama bear got too close to the road all the Park Ranger had to do was clap his hands loudly and mama and cub took off thru the woods.
